Crédit Agricole Egypt registers EGP 1.8bn consolidated profits in Q1-25

Cairo – Mubasher: Crédit Agricole Egypt recorded consolidated net profits valued at EGP 1.86 billion in the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, an annual drop from EGP 2.28 billion.

Net interest income declined to EGP 2.80 billion in Q1-25 from EGP 2.68 billion in Q1-24, according to the unaudited financial results.

As of 31 March 2005, the total assets hit EGP 127.21 billion, while the customers’ deposits hit EGP 94.86 billion.

Standalone Results

In the first three months (3M) of 2025, Crédit Agricole Egypt generated 18% lower standalone net profits after tax at EGP 1.86 billion, compared to EGP 2.29 billion.

Non-consolidated net interest income climbed by 5% to EGP 2.80 billion in Q1-25 from EGP 2.67 billion a year earlier, while the earnings per share (EPS) declined to EGP 1.33 from EGP 1.63.

In 2024, the bank’s consolidated net profits hiked by 55.43% YoY to EGP 8.03 billion from EGP 5.16 billion.
