DFM closes Sunday in red; market cap totals AED 366bn

Dubai – Mubasher: The general index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) declined by 3.06% or 84.85 points at Sunday’s trading session, closing at 2,684.24 points.

The turnover recorded AED 156.52 million where 136.96 million shares were traded through 2,721 transactions.

Meanwhile, the market cap value decreased to AED 366.03 billion from AED 374.65 billion on Thursday.

The consumer staples segment was down by 5.37%, followed by the investment and financial services group with 5.23%.

Moreover, Gulf Navigation Holding topped the fallers with 9.89%, whereas Al Salam Group Holding was the only riser with 5.71%.

Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) showed the highest liquidity of AED 36.6 million, while Deyaar Properties led the trading activity through 30.56 million shares.

The leading stock of Damac Properties was down by 7.68%, followed by DXB Entertainments with 6.49%.
