Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) saw an upward trend early Wednesday, backed by foreign investors’ buying.
By 10:50 am Cairo time, the Commercial International Bank (CIB) pushed the benchmark EGX30 index up 0.46% or 67.5 points to 14,604.5 points.
The CIB rose 1.44% to EGP 75.5 with a turnover of EGP 29.9 million.
The EGX70 index inched up 0.02% to 803.4 points, while the EGX100 edged up 0.11% to 1,861.6 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.03% to 2,534.4 points.
Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 24 million, while Egyptian and Arab were net sellers with EGP 15 million and EGP 9 million, respectively.
Meanwhile, trading volume reached 58 million shares exchanged through 7,400 transactions at a turnover of EGP 308 million.
