Egypt gov’t invests EGP 5.64bn in New Minya

Cairo – Mubasher: Total investments in Egypt’s New Minya City have reached EGP 5.64 billion, housing minister Assem El Gazzar stated on Thursday.

These investments include EGP 2.77 billion residential projects, EGP 333.12 billion services projects, and EGP 529 million water projects, El Gazzar added, according to a statement.

The minister noted that the investments also included EGP 566.97 million sanitation projects, EGP 773.2 million road and telecom projects, EGP 618.82 million electricity projects, and EGP 45.9 million agricultural projects.

Since 2014, EGP 2.6 investments were injected into the city, compared to EGP 3 billion investments in the last 25 years, which proves that the rate of development of the city is accelerating, El Gazzar noted.
