UAE - Mubasher: Network International (Network), a digital commerce enabler across the Middle East and Africa, has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TerraPay Payment Services to foster acceptance of African mobile wallets across the UAE.
Under the MoU, the acceptance of the African mobile wallet ecosystem will be enabled across Network’s terminals in the UAE and e-commerce platforms by using TerraPay’s payment processing rails, according to a press release on Tuesday.
Hence, the partnership will contribute to offering sustainable and scalable interoperable payment options to the payment requirements of partners and customers and drive increased and repeat usage of mobile wallets and digital currency for digital payments.
The Vice President - Payments Partnership and Special Projects of TerraPay, Rizwan Qazi, said: "With the rising digital payments movement across businesses and their consumers, our association with Network will further drive this transformation to cashless societies."
