Mubasher: The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) on Monday said that Qatari banks’ financial assets increased 1.4% month-on-month, reaching its highest level in 2017.
The local banks’ assets amounted to QAR 1,336.7 billion in September, versus QAR 1,317.7 billion in August, according to the QCB’s banks monthly statement.
Cash and precious metals dropped 15.51% to QAR 9.26 billion in September from QAR 10.96 billion in the previous month, while customer deposits rose 0.53% to QAR 797.8 billion from QAR 793.6 billion.
On the other hand, foreigners’ deposits hiked 4.17% to QAR 142.77 billion, while governmental deposits increased 2.26% to QAR 309.46 billion.
